WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
I am located in North Georgia, a short drive from Atlanta. However, I regularly shoot weddings across the south east and would love to travel for yours. There is no limit to the miles I can cover!
ARE YOU A FILM PHOTOGRAPHER? Yes, I sure am.
Do you have all day? I could speak for hours on why I choose to shoot film, but I will keep it brief here. The biggest reason I invest in film is the artistry of it. When you shoot photographs on film, there is inherent craftsmanship in every image. Unlike the disposable nature of digital photography, film shooting encourages a slowing of the photographer that in turn moves them to create a well thought out frame. Knowing that I only have a limited amount of frames on a roll of film and the care it takes to really make the film sing through proper lighting and composition - that all makes me a better artist. You will be thankful for it too when your images are delivered, as it will translate to more variety and the highest quality. Don't get me wrong, digital has a time and place and I will certainly use it where appropriate as well as match those frames to the film as closely as possible.
Secondly - the color, texture and depth of a film photograph is unparalleled by any digital frame. A nostalgic feeling is found when viewing film photographs thanks to those colors and depth. It is just simply timeless.

WHAT IS IT LIKE WORKING WITH YOU?
The word I hear most is calming. What I believe is that my confidence, knowledge and passion for my craft puts clients at ease and allows them to let me do the work while they enjoy the ride. When the "job" is done I want clients to reflect on our time together fondly - be it through joy, value or a sense of peace - what I strive for is an enjoyable, stress free experience.
DO YOU STYLE YOUR ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS?
Yep! I am an artist through and through. I even have a history of styling for hire. Therefore I take great pleasure in helping my clients create a session that is well styled and cohesive in all aspects. Should you want assistance, I offer help with location selection and wardrobe, as well hair and makeup suggestions. Leaning on my eye and experience in these topics, you will be increasing the likelihood that your session will have the Sarah Ingram 'look'. I like to have a plan, and to have the opportunity to artfully curate your session! I suggest one great outfit, but do allow one change for a total of two.
WHAT TYPE OF COUPLES DO YOU WORK WITH?
Oh I love this one. Couples in love! Seriously. The people I am most passionate about working with are the ones that hold their love at the core of the meaning for their wedding. A stellar venue & pretty details excite me, but the BEST weddings happen for those that are most excited about beginning their journey in marriage.
HOW MUCH SHOULD WE EXPECT TO INVEST?
Portrait sessions begin at $625 and are photographed solely with film. Pricing includes session time, film + processing, editing, and a gallery of images with printing rights.
Full wedding coverage begins at $5500 with most couples investing around $6500. Collections include an engagement or bridal session, wedding day coverage, film + processing, web gallery and printing rights. Select collections also include heirloom professional prints and albums.
WILL ALL OF THE IMAGES YOU CAPTURE BE EDITED?
I wouldn’t have it any other way. You wouldn't go to a coffee shop and expect to steam your own latte milk would you? I would never offer an un finished product! Photography has several components, and hitting the shutter is only a piece of the equation. After your session or wedding I will carefully sift through your images and select the frames I feel are of my standards, then finish them with editing that has taken lots of time and experience to craft. RAW files will not be released.
WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU SHOOT WITH?
My primary camera is a Pentax medium format film camera, and I choose film type based on what fits best for the session or event. I also shoot digital images with a Canon Mark iii, paired perfectly with their prime lenses.
WHAT IF YOUR EQUIPMENT MALFUNCTIONS?
That is what backup equipment is for! I would not dream of showing up to your wedding without my backups. Additional camera bodies and lenses ensure your coverage will continue in the case of any equipment error. Also joining my gang - lots of extra battery juice and memory cards.

IS EVERYTHING YOU DO CREATED BY HAND?
Pretty much! I work using calligraphy pens, inks, paint and watercolor. If needed my designs are then scanned at a high resolution and a digital file is created for printing or web upload.
WHAT TYPE OF PRINTING DO YOU DO?
I work with several printing companies to offer you a variety of printing types. Digital, offset and letterpress are the most popular methods. Options like gold foil, laser engraved and thermography are also available, as well as screen printing on fabric. Price can vary greatly so let’s talk more if you are curious!
CAN I ORDER SAMPLES?
Certainly! I want you to be able to hold my work in your hands if it’s reassurance you need. Envelope samples are $15 for 2 shipped (any style calligraphy, please ask for current color options). Invitation sets are also available per request, $10 per set plus $6 shipping.
WHAT IS THE TURNAROUND TIME?
The amount of time needed to complete a project can vary. Factors include intricacy of project, amount needed, printing methods and amount of current projects in production. It is typically best to begin invitation suite design 8-10 weeks before printing. If you are having design and envelope addressing, it is best we get started about 5 to 6 months in advance of in hand date. Please contact me for an exact timeline.
DO YOU OFFER RUSH SERVICE?
Sometimes! I do my best to accommodate rush orders when possible. If you need this please contact me and I will let you know if it is an option. This requires an additional fee, which is based on how full the current schedule is.
DO YOU REQUIRE EXTRA MATERIALS FOR ENVELOPE ADDRESSING?
Yes. The nature of hand calligraphy brings the potential for ink splatters or paper tearing. This is true for even the most skilled calligraphers. For this reason I require 15% extra in materials. This means if you have 100 addresses to be done, you will need to send 115 envelopes.
